Jeep® Unveils New Ultimate High-Performance Off-road Midsize Pickup: 2020 Jeep® Gladiator Mojave

Entering the off-road segment with a pickup truck model, the Jeep® Gladiator was a new territory for the SUV manufacturer. They have taken this one step further with the introduction of the Jeep® Gladiator Mojave – a Jeep® Desert Rated model. Jeep® Desert Rated vehicles are purposefully-designed to produce advanced high-speed off-road and performance capabilities to perform on challenging desert and sand surfaces.

The all-new Jeep® Gladiator Mojave has been equipped with a proven suspension that received major upgrades to ensure ultimate performance capabilities. The system has also been put through rigorous testing that tested both vehicle durability and protective features.

The designers responsible for the Jeep® Gladiator Mojave have looked to including certain features to support the vehicle’s ultimate performance capabilities. Among these features that are available as standard are: 

• Enhanced FOX™ 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks featuring external reservoirs.
• Segment-exclusive front hydraulic jounce bumpers.
• Strengthened frame.
• Front suspension lift (one-inch) paired with a silver front skid plate.
• Reinforced axles supported by cast-iron steering knuckles.
• 33-inch Falken Wildpeak All-terrain tires.
• Front seats designed with upper bolsters and standard. 

The model’s power is delivered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that also features engine stop-start (ESS) as a standard feature. This engine choice has been proven to handle extreme off-road conditions and a broad torque range with more emphasis on the low-end torque output. A standard six-speed manual transmission accompanies the V-6 engine with an optional eight-speed automatic transmission also on offer.
